Blood Donation Festival

Blood Donation Festival Every year on auspicious Republic Day our Blood Donation festival is organised and in this year about 60 people donated their blood.

Durga Puja

This year also we are going to present a fabulous Durga Puja to our viewers. This year our slogan is "ORE HAZAR PRODIP JALA, EBAR BARO TAROFER PALA". We will present a "Jamindar Bari" of rural bengal where two brothers live in two portion of a palacial building. One part of the building where the younger brother live, is neglected and deserted as he departed from the native place to big town. The big brother "Baro Tarof", still live in the ancestral house and maintaining his family tradition and culture. We want to give the message that don't forget your root. We beleave that this year puja will create a history in kolkata Durgotsav.

Chaitali Natyotsab

In order to fulfill the popular demand for the presentation of dramas we decided to organize a three day long festival of dramas to be staged at Sarat Sadan, Behala from 30th March to 1st April and that festival was a grand success. The drama festival named "Chaitali Natyotsab" was kindly inaugurated by Sri Subhas Chakraborty, the Hon'ble Minister of Transport & Youth affairs and as the chief guest was present the famous actor-director Shree Rudraprasad Sengupta who was duly felicitated for his life-time achievement in the domain of dramatic art. Notable persons like Manoj Mitra, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Kheali Dostidar, Soumitra Chatterjee, Dwijen Banerjee, Biswajit Chakraborty and others took part in three days in three pieces of drama presented by them. Various noted organizations like P.C. Chandra Group, Borolin, Keventer's Agro, Big FM, State Bank of India, Monginis and Mobile Media helped us enormously for the success of our drama Festival. We were much appreciated by the general people, lovers of drama and the press and electronic media.

Alpona Utsav

This unique festival has been launched this year to revive the traditional culture of Alpana decoration in association with Sambad Pratidin, ITC Ashirbad.

15th August Celebration

Every year we celebrate the auspicious Indipendence Day in our club by taking various social activities. We started our ambulance service on that verry day. We organised health camp and eye checking camp in our club every year on that day.

Sit & Draw Compitition - for Special Child

One of the significant programmes of the year 2008 was the sit and draw competition of the differently abled children who are determined to be in the main stream with a firm conviction. It is our pleasure to state that the internationaly recognised sculptor Sri Niranjan Pradhan’s august presence was a source of inspiration to the competitors and internationally applauded magician Sri P.C. Sarkar blest the up-coming child-artists and distributed some interesting magic tools which he had brought with him to all compelitors.

Our Partners of this event were Kolkata TV, BIG 92.7 FM, Mobile Media and Monginis.

Medical Camp

Every Wednesday a free Medical Camp is operated from our club in association with Loknath Divine Life Mission where 100 of people take medical asistance.

Eye Care Camp

We organise eye care camp every year with the help of Lions Club of Behala. From this camp we distribute spectacles to the poorer section of people and we send some of them to Lions Club Hospital for free cataract operation.

Rabindra Jayenti

Rabindra Jayanti Utsab is organised every year by the club. All the members take active parts to inculcate ideals and literary works of Rabindranath among common people.

Ambulance Service

We have started our ambulance service from 15th August 2007. We are greatful to Mrs. Abha Mukherjee who have donated the ambulance to our club in memory of her husband late Monotosh Mukherjee. Throughout the year the ambulance is engaged day and night to serve the patient in a comparative cheaper rate than the market.

Donation to Hope Foundation Kolkata

We the members of Behala Nutan Dal stand beside Kolkata Hope Foundation, a leading social organisation in various function throughout the year. We donated some amount to the Hope Foundation from the ticket sale proceding of our Chaitali Natyotsav. In future we are going to organise a culture programme to help the new child hospital of Hope Foundation.

Annual Club Picnic

Every year in the winter all the members of our club take part in annual picnic with the members of there family. Last year we went to Shankar Pur sea beach and enjoyed the picnic verrymuch.
